Hull Fork Lifts was a Design Brief that I had to complete as part of an interview for a Graphic Designer job. Although I wasn't offered the position I still like my overall result. Here are some initial ideas, I wanted to create a forklift shape on Photoshop and eventually came up with this simple shape which I was really happy with. I then tried out a few different positions and a few different fonts. I wanted to make the forklifts carry a box, so then I could put the text on the box. I then had the idea of trying to make the text look like a stamp, but it didn't look exactly how I wanted it to, so I stuck with my first designs.
Here are my favoured logo designs, my favourite being the logo on the far right with the orange body, which is one of the more traditional colours for forklifts.
I eventually decided on the orange version of the logo, with red text to look asif the crate has been stamped.
